OPA!

To preface this video...Lily loves to play on her shelf. Not only do I think it is fun to watch her climb in but you can hear her say her new word! She has started to say, "ah ow, opa!" She says it over and over. It makes me laugh every time. She first heard it at the park by some little boy, when she started to say it, so then I worked with her a little to say it! Hope you enjoy it! video

Silly Lily!

Lily makes me laugh. She is our SILLY LILY! Everything she does is hilarious and makes us laugh! Just for the record, Lily comes up with these things all on her own! I would love to know what she is thinking and cannot wait to hear what she has to say when she she can say it!I was hysterical when Lily was doing this. She was pressing her head against the container lid. She looked so funny with her little noes smashed up and her big smile!
Can you tell that she is proud of herself! She loves to make me laugh and gets so happy when she does! I sure do love her!
To preface these photos...The bottom shelf has soda on it. There were three things of it and Lily tried to climb in but couldn't fit. This caused her to get frustrated. I moved two of them and she climbed right in and sat on the soda! She sat like that for a while with her big grin! For the next little while she climbed in and out laughing. This is one of her favorite places to go and play now!

Christmas Crafting!

I have had the crafting bug lately. With Christmas coming I have wanted to add some new decorations. Here are a few of my favorites that I have made lately! This is a chalkboard plate that I made into my very own Christmas Countdown!
I got this idea from another blog. It is made with ornaments from Dollar Tree! I really like the way it turned out! I have wanted a wreath for a while now and now I have one!
This is my reindeer family! I had the wood cut to make apples, but with Christmas so close, I decided to make reindeer instead! I have a friend that is making these block decorations for every season and so I took her idea and come up with these! Thanks Tricia for letting me copy you!

More Lily!

Lily is getting more and more into playing with us and playing games. The other night TJ and Lily played Hide and Seek and it was the funniest thing. TJ would hide in our room and Lily would go in there and find him and then run away from him as he chased her. She was laughing so hard the whole time they played! It was so fun to watch them have so much fun. She also loves to build things with us before she destroys them. Another favorite is puppets!Lily loves to play with any ball. She will seek out a ball no matter where we are. The bigger the better!
She loves to play with puppets as well as listen to the silly puppet shows that Dad and Mom put on. I just love this picture of the puppies on her hands!

The other night she decided that it would be a great idea to see if she could fit under the shelf. She is so silly! As you can see there is a ball close by!

BOO at the ZOO!

This year for Halloween we took Lily to BOO at the ZOO! It was a lot of fun. They had a lot of sponsors and so we walked around and saw the animals and collected a lot of loot! It was a cool to see the animals in the snow and see them more active than during the heat of summer. There were a lot of really cool costumes. I like to see what people come up with. There were quite a few people that really liked Lily's golf ball! I have to say I thought she was rather cute! We will go back again! There were a lot of people at the ZOO. They had opened up a lot of extra parking and free shuttles to accommodate everyone. We were lucky and got a parking spot right by the entrance as someone was leaving as we were coming!
It was amazing to see the pride together. Usually when we go they are spread apart, but this time they really looked like a pride! The male higher than the females.

The wild dogs are always very hard to find, this time they were right up close! Lily enjoyed seeing the dogs. She always huffs when she sees dogs and this time was no different!
Tiger driving the ball! He sure can drive it far!
Once again another animal that was super close! The elephants were blowing leaves with their trunks in the pit right by the fence. I love to see the animals close up!
This was cool! The silver backs were entertaining this time. This one was sitting by the glass looking at the crowd. Then he saw another silver back coming and he took off running, slapping the grass as he did so. Plus having them so close made for some cool photos!
The caddy with the ball - my job was to clean and wash the ball!
The Hippo was showing off its amazingly big and sharp teeth. It was hard to get a shot of the mouth open, but I can testify that those teeth were incredibly scary!
Only the coolest golf ball ever! Lily sporting Dad's glasses and waving hi to Mom!

Watch that ball go!

Giving the Village Inn Bear a kiss. She is very friendly these days!

Costumes and Pumpkins!

TJ and I were trying to decide what to do for Halloween. Until Lily cares what she is for Halloween, I don't see spending a lot of money on a costume. We came up with different trios that we could be and then decided on the one that would be easy and not a lot of money or take a lot of time. So, what did we decide on? Tiger Woods, the caddy, and the ball! I made the ball without a pattern and I have to say I think it turned out really good! We had a lot of fun with our costumes!
For FHE before Halloween we carved Pumpkins! It was fun to see Lily try to like the guts! We cleaned them with her and then carved them when she went to sleep. I think they turned out rather good! I made the Witch and TJ made the gost saying BOO.

Here Dad try some yummy guts!

Winter Wonderland!

The past two days have been completely full of SNOW! It started snowing Tuesday night and now it is Thursday afternoon and it is still snowing! I hope this is no indicator of what the winter will be like. It is after all only the end of October! I like the snow to come after Thanksgiving and leave the end of January! Having said that, I do enjoy playing in the snow and so with this winter wonderland, we did just that! TJ worked from home on Wednesday and so he was able to finish early enough that we got to play in the snow with Lily! It was her first time to really play in the snow! She loved it! Of course it was hard for her to walk, but that didn't stop her from having a lot of fun! She had such a great time, that when she came in, she started to cry because she wanted to go back out! Now she grabs her boots and goes to the door. When the wind stops we will be out again! I just love snow covered landscapes, especially evergreen trees! They are so beautiful!
This is the view from our apartment. First snowstorm of the year and it es definatley one to document!
I love bibs on little kids! Lily looks so cute getting ready to go out and play! Both the bibs and the boots are way too big, but maybe by the end of the year they will fit!
I love this picture!
What a happy little girl playing in the snow!
Daddy helped Lily make a snow angel. She loved this! She laughed everytime he would move her arms or legs! It was fun to watch them have so much fun together! I look forward to playing in the snow a lot this year with her!
Lily and dad playing in the snow! What a great dad!
