Just having Fun!

The other day, Logan opened the drawer under the oven and climbed right in!  He was so proud of himself!
Until he couldn't figure out how to get out!  After a few times he figured it out!

And this one was just too funny!  Just relaxing on the stairs while eating his bottle!  What a character!

Reconnecting!

I have been so blessed with many wonderful people to enter into my life.  All of which have become a part of my extended family and have truly touched my life!  One of those special families is the Rubinson family.  I met them back in 2002 when I spent the summer being their nanny.  I may have been there "nanny," but I truly felt like a part of their family.  It was so much fun to spend my next three summers with them.  Fast forward seven years since the last time I saw them and I finally got to spend time with them again!  It was as if I had never been away!  Or maybe even better!  It was as if our two families were one family!  Everyone had so much fun together!  The kids had a blast playing together!  TJ and Aram had a great time chatting!  I had a wonderful time visiting with everyone!

We drove up to Vail on Monday to see the Rubinsons.  They were in for a ski trip.  We went up early and walked around because we had never been to Vail except to use the restroom!
The kids on the way up

After we walked around for a little while, we met the Rubinsons at their hotel.  As soon as Lily knew it was the Rubinsons, she ran up and started hugging them!  They all were instantly under her spell!  Lily instantly stole the spotlight!  She told them all kinds of stories answered questions!  My favorite was when Aram asked her what was her favorite planet (just to see what she would say!) and Lily answered, "The Moon!"  They were all a little shocked that she had an answer!  Then we headed to the restaurant.  We went to the Red Lion.  When Lily found out where we were going she instantly said, "Are the Lions going to eat dinner next to us?"  I responded, "No, there are no lions at the restaurant."  Lily then said, "Oh.  I wanted the Lion to eat with us.  I like the animals!"
Annie and Lily colored the kids menu together.  It took them quite a while to do so!  Lily was in heaven!
Lily, Annie, Shari, Me, Eli, and Emma
Shari, Lily and me!  It was so fun to watch the Rubinsons with my children!  I had spent so much time with their kids and so it was fun to see them with mine!
After dinner there was some dancing in the street!  Emma was going to do a dance for us when Lily once again stole the spotlight!  Soon it turned into Emma and Eli copying Lily's dance moves!

On the way back to the hotel, Lily was walking with Aram finding bear prints.  She had to find each one and was so excited when she found a bear!
Back at the hotel we spent time just laughing and catching up!  Lily went with Emma, Annie, and Eli to play.  She had so much fun dancing, learning to flip her hair, and playing hide-and-seek!  It was truly a wonderful day!  I cannot wait until we can get together again!  Hopefully we will be able to make a trip out to New York soon!  I am so glad we got to go see the Rubinsons!

Big Boy Chair!

We got Logan his big boy chair Monday!  He LOVES his new chair.  He is still rear facing, but he loves to be in his big chair!  It is a little sad to put the baby carrier away and know that my little man is no longer a baby.  BUT, it is great that Lily can now reach Logan!  This makes helping Logan when he is fussy great because Lily can hand him a toy or a treat!  I no longer have to stretch in awkward positions to reach him!

Swimming Lessons and a FAMILY DATE NIGHT!

Both of the kids are in swimming lessons right now.  This is Lily's first time to do lessons by herself and it is Logan's first time in the Parent - Toddler class.  Both kids are LOVING it!  Saturday mornings are a favorite in out house because we get to go to the pool! I cant wait to spend more time in the water with these water kiddos!  Especially this summer!

This past Saturday after swimming lessons, we planned a family date night.  We went to the bowling alley that we love.  We played some arcade games and then went bowling.  This is one of our families favorite things to do since it is still cold outside.  After bowling, we went to eat at Red Robin.  We had a great time with our little family!
Logan is getting so close to walking!  He loves to be a big boy!

So this is the most strikes I have EVER got in a row!  I think I have had one or maybe two turkey's in all the time I have bowled.  Well Saturday I got FOUR strikes in a row!  I had to take a picture to document the big day!

While we were at Red Robin, Logan devoured a lemon!
This is a picture that Lily took.  She is getting really good at taking pictures.  She is always asking us if she can take pictures.

Partner's in CRIME!

Whenever there is a mess to be made, Lily and Logan are right there to work together!  They can get out every toy in under 20 seconds!  The other night I was making dinner and Lily and Logan decided to play file folder games.  It took just a few short seconds before there was a massive mess all over the kitchen floor.  They had a great time playing together and I got dinner made without any interruptions!

Valentine's Day

We had a GREAT Valentine's Day!  In our house we like to make a big deal out of about anything we can!  So Valentine's Day is no exception!  We started the morning with Cinnamon Roll Waffles and Valentine's!  Lily was sent on a Valentine's scavenger hunt, which she thought was pretty much the coolest thing EVER!  While Lily was hunting, Dad read Logan his new Brown Bear book.  After we got ready for the day, we watched Lily's Valentine, Lady and the Tramp!  Lily also helped me get things ready for our special dinner.
These are two of my three Valentine's!  Thank you to Grandma and Grandpa Gray for the great Valentine's Day shirts the kids are in!  We got a great package from them to help us celebrate Valentine's Day!

For Dinner, Dad made us some yummy snow crab and grilled shrimp.  We had steamed broccoli and pasta to go with it.  For dessert we had heart shaped jello jigglers, chocolate mint covered strawberries and mint truffles!

Cheers!  Lily is very big into cheers these days!

 These were DELICIOUS!
We had a great Valentine's Day!  When the kids went to bed, TJ and I watched a movie!  It was a nice evening in with my Valentine!  I am such a lucky girl!
