Playing in the Snow!

Welcome 2014!  The kids are glad that we got some snow to start the new year off!  This past Saturday it snowed all day long!  Not much accumulated as you can see, but it was enough for the kids to be able to have some fun!  They were so excited to play in it that they went out while it dark and still snowing!  They played for a little while while Dad grilled dinner.

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day

Christmas Eve was nice and quiet and relaxing!  In the morning I got dinner ready and TJ made cookies with the kids for Santa!  The rest of the day was spent relaxing.  We then had dinner and went to a Christmas Eve devotional.  After the devotional we came home and opened PJs and then we Google chatted with Grandma and Grandpa Warner and my siblings.  Grandpa read us the Christmas story out of Luke 2.  Then we sang songs and acted crazy before saying goodnight!  Christmas Eve our kids were asleep in record time.  I was surprised at how quickly they were both asleep!

 Ready for the Christmas Devotional.

 Opening Christmas PJs!

 These two are beyond adorable!
The kids woke up at 5:50, which was perfect!  They went to bed at 7:30 so they did a great job sleeping!  And by 5:50 Mom and Dad were waiting for the kids to wake up anyways!  We get way to excited!
 Where to start!

Every year Santa brings our family the BIG BOX!  It comes but no one knows who it is for until Christmas morning.  This year it was for the kids and Mommy!  Mommy was surprised to see her name!  The kids got a Nook to share and Mommy got a Google tablet.  The kids were so excited to get a tablet!  Lily has wanted one for years!  They are learning how to share!

Logan really wanted a Minion for Christmas and so he was over the moon excited when he got a dancing Dave!  He loves that minion!
Lily was so excited to get her own scooter!  She has wanted one for a while now!

 Logan also loves Dusty

Daddy got some sport games.  He is looking forward to playing with Uncle Collin!

We had a great Christmas!  We were truly spoiled!  We enjoyed the time we got to spend together and most importantly we enjoyed celebrating our Savior, Jesus Christ, birth!  We took a lot of time talking with the kids about the true meaning of Christmas.  Even Logan at two years old understood that the special day was all because of Jesus's birth!  He even wanted to throw Jesus a birthday party and give him a Finn Mcmissle from the movie CARS!  It warms my heart every time I hear my children answer Christmas questions about our Savior and not about Santa!  We enjoy having Santa come, but we know that it is because of Christ that we celebrate!

Decorating Gingerbread Houses

This year we cheated with our Gingerbread houses.  We used graham crackers instead.  The kids had just as much fun decorating them as the real deal!  I love this tradition we do with our children.  They get so excited and are getting more and more creative with less and less help!

Thanksgiving

We were lucky enough to have Grandma and Grandpop Warner come and spend a week with us over Thanksgiving.  I however did not do a good job at taking pictures.  I have a few more on my phone I will have to put up.  We had so much fun with Grandma and Grandpop!  The kids had fun getting piggyback rides, playing games, making minions, playing doctor and many other activities with their Grandma Pickle and Grandpop Pickle!  The kids find it funny to call their Warner Grandparents Pickle!  I think it makes the Grandparents smile too!
Lily got to have both Grandma and Grandpa take her to school.  She was so excited to show them where she goes to school.  We also took Grandma and Grandpop to see Frozen at the Movie Tavern.  We love going to the Movie Tavern because it is a restaurant as well.  Grandma and Grandpop babysat for us while TJ and I went Black Friday shopping.  The kids got to show off all their ornaments as we decorated the Christmas tree with Grandma and Grandpop.  We also got to go to the Forgotten Carols.  Thanks for coming and playing with us!  We cant wait to have you back soon!
