Peace in Troubled Times

Given everything that has been going on in the world lately, and with Easter upcoming, this message seemed appropriate and timely. I know that Jesus Christ is our Resurrected Lord and Savior. He can bring us peace.

Logan's SECOND Birthday!

I can't believe my baby is TWO!  They have truly been two wonderful years!  Of course we have had our ups and downs along the way, but this little guy brings so much joy into our home!  His smile is amazing!  His laugh is contagious!  His cuddles are so loving!  He is such a blessing in our home!  We can't wait to see what the future holds for him!
Logan had a great birthday!  It started first thing in the morning with opening presents from Lily and Dad and Mom.  He LOVED opening his gifts and got so excited after each one!  Lily was also very excited!  She is an amazing big sister!  When we took her shopping for a gift for Logan, she was so thoughtful as to what she picked.  She was so excited to give him her gift!  I love to watch these two and see the love they have for each other!

Lily gave Logan Jake from, "Jake and the Never land Pirates."  He got so excited when he opened it!  He immediately said, "Jake!  Jake!  Bonk!  Funny!" Logan always refers to when Jake hit his head, when we met him on our trip to Disney, every time he sees Jake!

After a breakfast of chocolate chip pancakes, we headed to Monkey Business with our friends, Aleida, Valeria, and baby Rebecca, to have some fun!  The kids had a great time climbing all over!  The biggest hit was the inflatable slide!  They were even able to get me to go on it with them!  We really did have a great time!

Logan had a great time on the Alligator seesaw with his big sister!  They both were laughing and smiling!  Logan would have stayed on this seesaw with his sister for hours!
After we played for a few hours, we headed over to Chic-fil-A for lunch and some cupcakes!

After lunch we came home and the kids took a little nap before Daddy came home EARLY!!!  Once Daddy was home, we ordered pizza - Logan's request! Once Daddy and Logan left to pick up dinner, Lily and I decorated Logan's cake!  For the past few weeks Logan has been requesting a Nemo cake.  Every time I asked him what he wanted for his birthday, I got the response, "Pishy, Nemo cake!"  So Lily and I made the cake, I frosted it and colored it, and Lily  placed all the decorations on the top!  It turned out amazing!  And what was most important, Logan LOVED the, "Pishy, Nemo cake!"

On Sunday I was talking to Lily about the cake.  She had a great idea for our cake decorating!  She suggested that we use the trees that came from the dinosaurs we have to create sea weed!  I think it turned out great!  She is so creative!

Logan LOVES jello, so I made these fun birthday jigglers!  He ate them in record time!

After dinner, we had some play time as well as some SKYPE time with Grandma and Grandpa Warner.  We also got to talk to Grandma and Grandpa Gray and Tiff, Cassie, Allie, and Great Aunt Neva.

We had such a great day celebrating the birth of such an amazing Child of God!  He is so special and we love him so much!  We are looking forward to seeing what this next year brings and what he learns!  Hopefully we can keep up with him!  We love you so much Logan!

Snow forts and Blanket tents!

Yesterday we had a nice snow storm.  It changed our plans a little.  We wanted to go somewhere to celebrate Logan's birthday, but ended up staying home and celebrating.  Since we had the new snow, we decided that playing in the snow would be a great activity.  We bundled the kids and then TJ took them out to play.  They had a blast!

Lily wanted to be buried in the snow and so Daddy helped out!  Logan helped out by playing tackle while his sister couldn't fight back!

Then it was time to finish the snow fort.  TJ started this fort the last time we had a huge snow storm by piling up the snow.  Then yesterday they were able to finish it.  TJ asked Lily if she was going to sleep in it.  She said she was.  She was a little sad when he told her she really couldn't sleep out in the snow cave.

They took a break to relax in the snow couch they made!

Once we were all inside, Logan found the girl scout cookies and found himself a spot on the couch to open and eat them!

To continue the celebration, TJ made the kids an amazing blanket fort to watch a movie in and sleep in!  Lily made it all night in the fort.  Logan wouldn't fall asleep; he was too excited, so he had to sleep in his room.  They LOVED it!

It was a great Saturday!  We had a lot of fun with the kids!
