Our Ballerina!

Lily started Ballet today!  She was so excited!  She was beaming all morning!  Once we got to her class, I had to wait outside, but I could hear her excitement during the class!  I caught glimpses of her and the other little girls and they were all so cute!  This is an environment that Lily thrives in!  I was just as excited because of how happy she was!  We are both counting down the days until next weeks class!  I get giddy happy just thinking about her reactions today!  I can't wait til her recital and taking video of the preformance!  My little Ballerina!
 Ready to go!

SNOW DAY!

Wednesday was a SNOW DAY at our house!  We got an even bigger storm this week than we did last week!  The roads were horrible and so TJ worked from home!  We got 9 inches overnight and so it took about an hour to clear the driveway!  It was really heavy snow too!  After lunch, TJ took a break from work and played with Lily in the snow!  They had a great time with Lily's sled and they even built a snowman!

BOO at the Zoo and Halloween

Saturday October 29th, we loaded the kids up and headed to BOO at the ZOO.  We go every year and LOVE it!  Lily had a great time going around and collecting candy, coloring books, and TOOTHBRUSHES!  She is a silly girl for sure!  Her favorite thing she got was the TWO toothbrushes!  She likes the candy, but gets super excited when she gets a toothbrush!  - Fun story about that...On Sunday she was supposed to be taking a nap.  TJ went to check on her and where did we find her, in the bathroom brushing her teeth!  That night I heard her when she was supposed to be sleeping, and what do you think I find, Lily in her bed with her toothpaste!  She is a girl who loves to take care of her teeth!  That makes one happy Mama!  -
This year Logan was a dinosaur, AKA a protective dragon!  Lily thought he looked like a dragon and since we don't have scary dragons at our house, Lily dubbed Logan a protective dragon!  I love her creativity!
Lily was, and still is, our Lily Princess.  We went back and forth between who she wanted to be and we ended with a Lily princess!  That is better than a Disney princess anyways!
TJ and I were Vampires.  If people mentioned that we were scary Lily would tell them that we weren't scary, we just had costumes on!  That was all her too!

While we were going around the Zoo, we stopped at the Tigers and I am glad we did!  They had 4 cubs last year and so this year they are big and PLAYFUL!  It was fun to watch them play with each other!

Lily won a free meal from Denny's when she spun the wheel!

TJ and the kids were at the Zoo from 9-3!  I left for a few hours for a baby shower just down the street.  So by the time we headed home, Lily was a little tired!  I just love the way she fell asleep!  I have to say this is one of my all time favorite pictures of her!

On Halloween, we started the fun at the Ward Trunk or Treat.  Lily was loving all the treats!  After we made the circle, we headed out to some of our friends houses to let Lily Trick or Treat the old fashioned way!  She had a great time walking around the neighborhood with Dad and handing out candy when she got home!  It was a great night!  She has already asked me when the next Halloween will be.  I told her next year.  She was a little sad, but then I told her that we would have Thanksgiving and Christmas next and she was fine!

At the Trunk or Treat, Logan made a hall as well!  He was just too cute that people had to give him candy!
We invited our great friends to come with us!  A witch, Princess Leia and Lily Princess!

Colorado in October...

Colorado in October means you never know what you are going to experience weather wise!  Two days before our first big snow of the season, it was in the 80's!  Lily LOVES snow!  That meant the morning of the big snow, Lily woke up and came into our room full of enthusiasm to ask when we could go and play in the snow!  When Logan took a nap, we headed out to play.  Lily had fun sledding and even more fun throwing snowballs at me!  I love to watch Lily get so excited about snow!

Pumpkin Carving for FHE

The Monday before Halloween, we carved our pumpkins!  Lily drew a happy face on her pumpkin and TJ carved it!  Logan enjoyed watching the two work!

The finished pumpkins.  Lily's pumpkin has the smile and Daddy's pumpkin has the scared face!
We also decorated cookies!  Grandma Gray sent a Halloween care package with things to make cookies with!  Lily enjoyed decorating the cookies and LOVED eating them!
Logan LONGING to have a bite of that cookie!  As you can see he even made room by spitting up his dinner!

Berry Patch Farms - Pumpkin Patch

It's that time of year again!  The time of year where we head out to enjoy some family fun in the fall!  Our yearly trip to a pumpkin patch!  This year we tried out a new patch and it was fun.  This farm had some fun activities for the kids.  I think we will be visiting this farm during the summer too so we can pick some yummy berries!
Our trip started with this GIGANTIC pig!  I have never seen a pig this big!  It didn't move or have a neck!

Logan LOVES all animals and has no fears of them.  He enjoyed petting the pig!  Lily however was a little more hesitant!  It takes her a while to warm up and then she enjoys petting them too!
After we took some pictures with the pig, we headed over and made a scarecrow magnet and then headed to the pumpkin bowling!  Now just a side note about Lily, if she can't do something perfect the first time, she gets a little upset and frustrated.  Well the pumpkin bowling lead to a lot of frustration for Lily.  She wanted to do it all by herself, but she needed help to get it figured out.  FINALLY she got it and did it once and then was done.

After we bowled, we went and pet the Alpaca's.  Logan LOVED them! Lily was excited until she tried to feed one!  Then she wasn't sure!

After the Alpaca's we headed over to do the pinata.  Lily thought it was pretty cool to watch people hit it.  She hit it once and was done!  She was ready for the candy!

Next it was time to take a ride out and get our pumpkins and go through the hay bale maze.

Yes, this is the best we could do with a family picture!
Lily in her element!  She LOVED the maze.  She did it all by herself!  She wanted to go through again!  I can't believe how fast she is growing up and how independent she is!

Then we picked out our pumpkins and let the kids explore!  This year we let Lily pick our pumpkins all by herself.  That meant we have two small pumpkins, just big enough for Lily to carry all by herself!

It was a great day!  We always have a great time at the pumpkin patch!  Lily has already asked about next year!
