Standard Deviants!

What do you get when you put Actuaries and CPA's together on a baseball field?...A night of entertainment! TJ and a group of co-workers have formed a co-ed softball team called the Standard Deviants - only a name picked by Math Geeks! - and I have to say they do really well! You can tell that a few of the players have played before and then there are those that are putting their heart and soul into the game for the first time. They had their first game tonight and they WON! Even better TJ had the play of the game! He was playing short stop and dove for a ball and caught it! Even the other team was commenting on the amazing play! That is right it was made by my wonderful Husband! It is so fun to watch TJ play the game he loves! He was so happy and enjoying himself so much! I am glad he gets to do something he loves. Ever since we got married he has talked about wanting to get involved in softball/baseball and now he gets too! Lily and I went to show our support. Lily loved being at the game. She would follow the ball and cheer for her dad. She is his biggest fan! Good luck with the rest of the season Love! The team

Baseball Fun!

During the summer here in Denver, we enjoy watching the Rockies play! We make it to the park a few times, so I know you have all seen baseball pictures before...but this last Friday was kid backpack day! That means we have a super cute picture of Lily that we have to share with everyone! The Rockies lost the game, but they won the series against the Giants!!! Hopefully we will at least get the Wild Card pick! Anyways, we really like the ball park. Lily loves the people, the music, and every other aspect of the game! She is so much fun to watch experience the game! She defiantly has baseball in her blood!
It is only appropriate that the backpack look like the catchers chest protector! Lily looks so cute wearing her bag!

Sleepy Lily

Lily is always making me laugh! The other day Lily didn't have an afternoon nap which lead to her being very sleepy. I fed her a grilled cheese and some fruit for dinner. She wanted to eat it so bad, but she was so tired. So what did she do...both! She would fall asleep and her head would drop. Then she would shove some food in her mouth only opening her eyes if she missed her mouth and then her head would fall again. I was laughing and talking to her but that had no effect on her. I have a video of the whole thing, but I don't know how to get our videos transfered. She is my pride and joy!

Camping with the Heather Ridge Ward!

This past Friday/Saturday we had a ward camp out! It was a lot of fun. It was Lily's first time to go camping and she did great! We took the pack n' play and that helped a lot. We were crowded in the tent with it in there, but it was nice to have Lily contained. She loved being outside all the time. She got to stay up way past her bed time and play in the rocks! We enjoyed spending time with our friends. One sad thing about our trip is that it took forever to cook our meal. So when they were talking about the camp site they said that there would be a fire and grills if you brought your own propane. Well the person who was to bring the firewood didn't come up until Saturday morning! We had decided to bring tinfoil dinners because we didn't want to rely on the grills . Well apparently we should have! Lucky for us one of the sisters there had charcoal that we were able to use. It took a while to get them warm and cook our dinners but it was well worth it! I love tinfoil dinners! We were able to have smore's because two of the ladies went to the closest Walmart and bought some wood. So TJ and I brought Starburst to roast and nobody had ever tried them! Those that tried ours were very impressed! I think that I like Starburst roasted more than marshmallows. We had a great time at the camp out!Lily liked the tent. She thought it was a lot of fun to play in!
Lily tried to eat a tone of rocks. She thought it was so much fun to stick them in her mouth...Lucky for me she is good at sharing! I had to keep a very close eye on her and the rocks!
Enjoying the fire with Dad
Lily LOVES LOVES LOVES dogs! This is Sally and Lily would get so excited every time Sally would come around! Lily would hug her and laugh over and over again! I was laughing so hard the whole time they played together!
The Flashlight was a huge hit with Lily! She was eating it and making her cheeks glow. She also held it up under her chin like she was telling ghost stories.

Once again a picture of Lily pushing her stroller.

Playing capture the flag. TJ had fun playing capture the flag and horse shoes while Lily and I watched and cheered in support! Okay more like I talked with the other moms!

Trip to the Museum!

We went to the Museum of Nature and Science a few weeks ago. It was Lily's first trip and I must say it is not her favorite place. She liked the Dinosaur exhibit, but that was about it. She didn't like that nothing moved around and there was nothing to do. I guess we will be sticking to the Zoo where things move around and put on a show to watch. Lily did like helping Dad push the stroller around. She loves to ride in her stroller and has now found out that it is also fun to push it! Fun fact I learned while at the museum...the Triceratops is the most commonly found dinosaur skeleton found in Colorado! TJ and I had a good time doing the Expedition Health - the new exhibit at the museum. It is an interactive trip up Mt. Evans here in Colorado. It was a nice day spent together just the three of us!

Picnic in the Park

The weather has been really crazy lately! One day it is pooring rain, the next day it is 90+ degrees. So we took advantage of a nice evening and had a picnic in the park. We had a great time playing and enjoying the nice weather!

These Are a Few of Lily's Favorite Things!

Our little Lily is quite the character! It is actually really fun to watch her take on her personality. She is on the go all the time and making me laugh as she explores life! Here are a few of Lily's all time favorite activities! I hope you enjoy!
Lily's favorite outfit is her diaper and only because she has to wear a diaper! She also loves to push her toy around the room, so if she gets to push her toy around in just her diaper she is one happy girl!
As soon as I can get the movies put away, Lily has them off the shelf. I ended up moving all but her movies off the shelf so that she doesn't make as big of a mess but still has something to pull off! I love the action shot that I got! She just smiles and laughs while she is making her movies fly down to the ground!
You can't crawl across the room without both hands full in our house! Lily will find two toys right before she is ready to explore around the room. I just love to see what she puts in her hands! She will even hold two toys while she pushes her bike around the room! What a silly girl!
Another book picture I know, but this is Lily's favorite activity of all times! Lily now will sit and read books by herself and then want you to read it to her. It is fun to watch Lily go through the basket of books looking for a specific book. If you read the one that she is not interested in she will throw it to the ground and try to find the one that she wants to read. Notice another toy in her free hand!
Sleep is also a favorite. She doesn't always like to fall asleep, but she will take long naps and sleep good at night. I just love the leg propped up on the side of her crib sticking out of her blanket.
Her favorite toys are of course not toys! She loves to pull the cups off the shelf and play with two at a time. She also pulls everything off the two lowest shelves to play with. I love to watch the excitement and exploration of our beautiful little girl. What a lucky mom I am to have such a wonderful little girl to care for!
I love this picture! She picked her book and pushed it over to dad and laid down to read it with him. She is so excited to read any book with her dad! They share lots of loves while they read together. It is a highlight in each of their days!

Unfortunate Events!

Due to unfortunate events...we had to get a new camera. Lucky for me I downloaded the pictures onto the computer two days earlier! It has turned out just fine! We got a Cannon Power shot and I love it! We went to the Zoo today and I had so much fun playing with it. I am most excited about the ZOOM! It is way better than our old camera, yet it is so sad to know that we had to replace it before we had planned to. With our old camera you couldn't really tell how close we actually were when we used the zoom. Here are a few of the pictures I took with our new camera, sorry they are zoo pictures yet again! We LOVE the Zoo!
