Pics from T.J.'s phone

Here is a sampling of things that we did this summer.

This is, quite possibly, the hottest salsa I have ever eaten - some green chili blend in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Megan and I went to the Goo Goo Dolls/Matchbox 20 concert - about 15 years too late :).

My sweet Lily, taking her Junior Ranger pledge at Craters of the Moon during our Idaho trip.

In Utah - Logan wanted to be Max's best bud.

Logan, Lily, and Quinn with Aunt Tiff

These are from just last Friday. We went for a hike at Castlewood Canyon. I am sure more will be posted about this later, but thought I would get these pics up here now.

More of Summer

When we weren't traveling from state to state, we had some fun here at home in Colorado!  These are all pictures from my phone so some of them are not the best quality, but we can still enjoy them!
We took the kids to Lily's favorite yogurt place, YoCraze for a treat.  The kids played many games on the floor!
We went to breakfast at IHOP

And after breakfast we went to see Monster's University.  The kids had a great time and enjoyed the show.  Although Logan was a little sad because they had a preview for Despicable Me 2 and so he thought that was what we were going to watch.
Both kids got to hold a boa constrictor at Church.  Our music leader in Primary is amazing!  She was sick one Sunday and so her husband substituted for her.  He is a snake guy and so he brought his snake Frank to help him.  The kids LOVED it!  Even the Nursery kids couldn't get enough of Frank.  There was a huge line after Church to get to hold Frank.

Lily is always dressing up and putting on shows.  Logan is her biggest fan!

Lily got to learn a little about the Harp!  Hopefully she will start lessons this school year.  Thanks to a great friend for lending us this amazing Harpsicle!  Lily is in heaven!
And while Lily learned about the Harp, Logan played the piano
Lily practiced for hours once we got home!
What better place to ride a bike than inside of a plastic container!  He didn't get very far but he had a great time!
Logan developed a crush on Aleida!
We went to a few of Daddy's softball games!
And the kids played a little T-Ball while they "watched" Daddy play!

The kids have rode their bikes

And colored with chalk and water on the sidewalk
Logan did a little light reading while Daddy grilled up dinner
 We made pudding
And a lot more.  We have enjoyed our Summer a lot!  Lily is glad it is over because she is super excited to be going to Kindergarten!  She has been counting down the days for a while now!

Family trip to Utah

The first weekend in August we headed to Utah.  TJ's little brother got home from his mission and the Gray family was having their annual camping trip/reunion.  We got in really late Wednesday night.  Thursday morning we got to see Collin!  Then we went up to visit Grandpa at work.  We all got our eyes checked and then went to lunch with Grandpa.  After lunch we headed back to Grandma and Grandpa's house.  We got all packed to go camping and then TJ and the kids got in Grandma's new pool!  This is the first time they have gotten to swim in it!  It was a huge highlight for the kids!

 Logan LOVED the slide!

 And the beanbag!
What a beautiful view and a beautiful little swimmer!

Lily used the kick board and went back and forth across the pool most of the time!

After they swam for a little, we headed up the canyon and set up camp.  Once camp was set up, the kids started up the mountain!
TJ's cousins were so good with our kids!  Lily and Logan loved playing with all the kids!

Logan played in the mud that is usually a stream.  He played there for hours with the other kids.  He also ended up with soaked shoes every day!  He had a great time!
They threw rocks for a long time.  It was tricky to make sure that no one got hit.  Most of them are still working on aim!
Everyone took a turn shooting cans with the bb guns!
Even Logan got in on the action this year!
Lily had to have Aunt Allie do her hair.  It turned out really cute!
The kids and kids at heart painted rocks for hours!
Logan and Cruz played catch or hand off!

There were many four wheeler rides.  Logan loved going for rides.
Logan played catch with Cassie and Collin.  Collin just got home from his mission and Cassie is getting ready to leave on her mission in November.  Glad Logan got to spend some time with them!

Once again Logan got someone to take him for a ride!  Thanks Uncle Nate!
And some times Logan would just go sit on the four wheeler because no one was going out for a ride!
Everyone that came camping made Grandma Gray (TJ's grandma) a bead and we put it on a necklace for her.  She and Grandpa haven't been able to come up the last two years due to health.  When we took Grandma her necklace on Sunday. she was touched we would think of her!

And Grandma Lisa's grand kids made her a necklace too!  Lily and Wyatt gave it to her!  She loved it!

Saturday afternoon we headed back down the canyon and back to Grandma and Grandpa's house.  After we got rinsed off, we all went swimming.  Everyone that was up the canyon came over and we had a huge party in the pool.  It was a great way to relax after our camping trip.  Then Sunday we went to Church and played games.  Monday morning we headed back to Colorado.  Now we are done with our Summer travels and ready for School to start!
