Denver's Night at the Mueums

Denver has been celebrating the Arts this Month and to help with this, they had Denver's Night at the Mueums.  This past Saturday they opened many of the museum up to the public for free from 5-9pm.  It was such a great night out with the kids!  We went out to dinner and then headed downtown to the History Colorado Museum.  They just redid this museum and it opened at the beginning of the year.  I have wanted to take the kids ever since it opened and we finally made it!  It was a great museum with so much for the kids to do!  We had a great time as a family!

Playing in the Leaves

Saturday was such a nice day.  We decided to use it to clean up our yard and get everything ready for Winter.  The kids had such a great time playing in the leaves with Dad!  I love all the laughs and smiles!

Ballet Final Class

Lily finished her second round of Ballet.  She was in an advanced class and so it was small.  The day of the final class, only two of them showed up, her and her friend from Church.  On top of a super small class, her teacher was deployed the day before and so they had a substitute.  I was not as excited about this last class.  Her teacher had been working so hard with them.  I really wanted to see what Lily had learned.  Her sub didn't have any control of them and she didn't know what she was doing.  Lily had fun so that was good.  I was sad I didn't get to see what Lily had been working so hard to learn.  I look forward to putting her back in class when her teacher gets back at the beginning of the year.  Lily LOVES to dance and LOVES ballet.  At least I got a few pictures of her.  They are dark because of the lighting.  I don't know what the teacher was thinking with the light, but at least I have some pictures!

Our Halloween Celebrations

Our Halloween celebrations started with our annual trip to Boo at the Zoo.  The kids had a great time filling their bags with lots of great treats!  The morning was a bit chilly but after a few hours we were able to take off our coats and enjoy the day. Because the morning was a little chilly, the Zoo wasn't as crowded which meant we didn't have to stand in line at all to get candy!  Once it warmed up, the Zoo was really busy!

 Wedding Cinderella

We met up with a friend and had a great time!  Buzz joined the fun and scored big!

Taking a sucker break!  Logan had four suckers in his hands at one time!  He would pull his cuteness out and end up with extra candy!  I was holding his bag and yet his hands seemed to keep full!  He was a happy little man until the candy high came down!

 Riding the royal carriage!
Usually we dress up with the kids, this year I was pretty busy and so we had to rush around the house the morning of to find something to wear.  TJ was a scout leader! and I was a pumpkin!  (Lily took our picture!  She is getting pretty good at taking pictures!)
Here is Logan's candy crash.  He had a sit down strike which ended with a nap in the wagon!

After lunch and a nap, Logan was ready to play again!  Toyota sponsored Boo at the Zoo and they had a huge area with games and crafts that the kids enjoyed!

Our second dose of Halloween fun was Lily's preschool party!  She was so excited that we got to bring a game for her class to play.  She came home over sugared and super happy!

The last Halloween fun we had was trick-or-treating on Halloween.  That morning I went to exchange Lily's costume because she had some seams coming undone.  I thought we would go home with another Cinderella, but Lily insisted on getting a Brave costume.  She told me that her favorite princesses were Merida and Pocahontas and that she was okay with not having a Cinderella costume anymore.
The kids on Halloween, Roo and Merida!

Daddy took them out around the neighborhood.  After Logan got tired, they came home and I put Logan to bed while Lily and Daddy drove around to some of our friends houses that live further away.  We had such a great time celebrating Halloween!  The kids had a great time and got way too much candy!  Now we are looking forward to Thanksgiving and family coming to town!
