Preschool Graduation!

Lily is officially done with Preschool!  I didn't know it would effect me as much as it did.  I was getting chocked up on the way to the program as I thought that my little tiny baby was graduating from Preschool and headed off to Kindergarten!  Lily has always caught onto things very quickly and has a gift for learning.  She continues to grow and learn every day!  It has been fun to see how far Lily has come this year!  She had an amazing teacher who taught Lily so much!  Lily is so ready to go to Kindergarten!  We have gone to orientation and she was ready to stay for the next 13 years!  She will be the youngest in her class as her birthday is the deadline, but I couldn't imagine her not going to Kindergarten this Fall.  She is so ready to go to Kindergarten and continue to learn.  She is doing really well at reading and learning her sight words.  She can do math just like her daddy!  She is kind and friendly to everyone.  She has a love for learning that continues to push her to learn new things.  She asks a lot of questions because she loves to understand the world around her.  She is even know to ask questions that have me stumped!  She is a deep thinker for sure!  She has a tender heart and a hug that can melt you in seconds!  We are so proud of our Lily!  I know she will do amazing things in her life and touch those around her!

For their Preschool Graduation program they did Mother Goose Nursery Rhymes and Fractured Mother Goose Nursery Rhymes.  They were too cute acting out the different Rhymes!  Lily was Little Bo Peep!  She is absolutely adorable!  She did a great job with her lines and her acting!

I didn't get a picture of Little Bo Peep with her lost sheep because I was recording it, but this is a picture of Little Bo Peep tossing her clothes in a Heep!

So Proud of all the hard work you have done this year Lily!  We love you so much!

Garden of the Gods

We decided to take the kids down to Colorado Springs and visit Garden of the Gods.  It has been a while since we have been down there.  The kids had a great time running around and climbing on the rocks.  The weather was perfect!  Lily kept saying how beautiful the red rocks were and that they reminded her of when we were in St. George and hiked the red rocks there.  What a great way to spend a Saturday as a family!  Colorado is beautiful!

When we got in the car, it didn't take long before the back seat was quiet and this was the view!

Backyard Fun!

TJ worked A LOT of hours the past couple of months.  Because of all the hours they have been working his amazing boss - for more reasons than one!- decided to close down the office at 1pm on Fridays the last two weeks in May and the whole month of June!!!!!  The first Friday TJ had off, he came home and filled the pool up for the kids to play in.  We had a great time out in the yard enjoying a warm summer afternoon!  It was perfect because our Dad was home to share it with us!

The slide didn't work so well, so Daddy put the castle in the pool for them to slide down!

They also played a little baseball!  You got a home run if you made it to the pool before you were tagged by the ball.  Lily loved this game and wants to play it every time we go out side now!

Special Visitors!

A few weeks back I got a phone call from my sister-in-law Annie.  She said she was on her way to Kentucky to visit her family there and was flying through Denver.  She told me that because of bad weather, they might not make it out of Denver that night.  Secretly, I was hoping they wouldn't make it out of Denver.  I told her if they were stuck in Denver I would pick them up and we would be happy to have them stay with us for as long as we could!  Well  they didn't make it out of Denver so we got to have some special time with Annie and Alexa!  We were even more lucky because they couldn't get out of Denver until Friday after they came in Wednesday!!!!  The kids were thrilled to know that when they woke up, baby Alexa and Annie were going to be at their house!  Lily was a little sad that Uncle Stevie couldn't make it.  We had a fun couple of days hanging out and playing with Alexa!  We hope they are able to come back when TJ goes on his goal trip for work at the beginning of the year!  Thanks Steven for sharing your family with us!  Thanks Annie and Alexa for visiting us on your way!  We LOVED the surprise!

THE ZOO!

We heard that our Zoo had baby lions and so we had to make a trip to see them before they were off to another Zoo.  Our kids would go to the Zoo every day if we let them!  They love to see the animals and run and explore!

Logan was laughing like crazy at these lion cubs.  It caught the attention of the other people at the Zoo!  He was almost as entertaining to watch as the cubs!  They had to say bye to the lion cubs about a hundred times too!
Waving good-bye to the lion cubs

After a long day at the Zoo, both kids wanted a ride in the umbrella stroller!  This was Lily's solution!
