So here is a story for you all...A couple of weeks ago TJ and I went to dinner with some friends at the ESPN ZONE (yes we indulged our husbands and went to a place they could be in pure heaven watching too many TVs with sports on them). To our surprise, every Friday in the months of June and July they were having a contest to see who would throw out the first pitch at a Rockies game in August. So the first hour TJ and Drew entered the contest - throwing a can through a hole- and Drew one. That meant that he would get two tickets to the game and a chance to throw out the first pitch. Well the next hour the girls tried there luck. Lucky for me I was the winner! That meant that all four of us could go enjoy the game together. So we met back on August 6th and competed to see who would throw out the first pitch. This time the luck went to a little guy with his dad as they won the opportunity to throw out the first pitch. We still got to go to the COORS VIP box and have a special catered picnic before the game and watch it from there. Well only one thing put a damper on our night...the rain. We have been needing the rain here for a long time and it finally came...only to postpone the game. We still had the picnic and enjoyed ourselves for about three hours before they called it a rain out. We are unable to make it to the make up game, but I'm okay with that. I had a great time even though there was no game. Maybe next time!
There was so much water on the tarp. I was hoping I would get to see them empty it so that they didn't get any on the field, but it never stopped raining. We thought it would be fun to turn it into a huge slip and slide but I don't think that would have gone over to well with the grounds crew or security.
Enjoying the view from the COORS VIP box. Being up there sure makes you feel important.
It was Iannetta (the Rockies Catcher) player of the month night. Yes I am wearing mine backwards so that you can see what the back looks like.
Enjoying all the free food and drinks one could ever imagine. I think the four of us that went together were the only ones that didn't drink. That meant we had plenty of beverages to choose from while the others had to wait for their beers to be refilled. This is Shayna and Brooklyn. Shayna and Drew are the other couple that went with us. We always have fun with the Braziers!
