Rain Storm of the Century!

The first part of September we had the biggest rain storm Colorado has ever seen!  We got more rain in four days than Colorado have ever had ALL SUMMER long!  Where we live we had about 18 inches of rain in the four days it rained!  We were on the lucky end of town too!  Up north of Denver there was so much rain that homes were washed away and people were evacuated.  Lily's school was cancelled due to rain!  I have never heard of a school being cancelled for rain!  So many roads were damaged that over a month later, they are still fixing them.  It was crazy how much rain we got!

 We even got hail for a while!

 In between our house and our neighbors house we had a small stream.  Lucky for us we have an amazing drainage system!  We made it through the storm with no flooding inside the house!

The street flooded within five minutes of rain!
