Littleton Museum

We went to the Littleton Museum while Cassie was in town.  It is a great place to go and spend the day!  It isn't what you would think of a Museum being.  It is two working farms from the 1800's.  One is from the 1860's the other from the 1890's.  They have a blacksmith, a school, a few houses, and a lot of animals.  They also have some old equipment that you can get on.  We had a great time there exploring and learning.

 Lily chased after the sheep and her baby lambs.  There were 21 baby lambs wondering around that had been born this Spring!  Lily loved the lambs but was afraid to get to close!

Splash Park Fun!

TJ's sister came over to Denver for a visit before she helped me fly back to Utah with the kids!  We had so much fun with aunt Cassie!  Lily was in heaven with her aunt, probably driving her crazy a little too!  One of the days she was here, we went over to our favorite splash park to play!  We met up with a friend as well and played hard!  Lily LOVES the water and had such a great time playing in the very cold water!  She thought it was so much fun to run around and play with all the other kids there!  We will be going a lot this summer!

When You DONT want to go to Bed, but DONT want to be in TROUBLE!

Lily is the expert at working the system!  She knows when she doesn't want to do something just the card to play to get her some extra stall time!  For example, when she is done with stories and it is time for bed, she will play the "Just one more Daddy!  I want the Daddy and Me one!"  Yeah how do you tell her no to that!  Another would be same situation but with the request of, "I want to read my scriptures."  Well the ultimate was when I put her to bed the other day and went to check on her about half an hour later and found her reading her her scriptures in the clothing basket!  She knew I couldn't get angry with her while she was reading her scriptures!  We then read a scripture story and put her back to bed.  This time she stayed there. 

Memorial Day at Seven Falls

We love go get out and explore new places, and there are so many places to explore in Colorado!  So for Memorial Day we invited some friends to come with us to Seven Falls!  Perfect temperature and great company made for a great day! 
We get the flag placed in our yard by the Boy Scouts in our Ward and so Lily wanted to go check it out, so I decided that I would take some cute flag picture of the kids!

 Seven Falls is so beautiful!  The name comes from the fact that there are 7 water falls along the way.  You have to hike a long way up to get to the very top water fall.  After about 20 steps, Lily asked if I would carry her.  I told her she had to do it all by herself.  She said okay and away she went.  She did such a great job and never asked for a carry after the first 20 steps!  She was so proud of how STRONG and BRAVE she was for making it all the way up and back down!

 This is to record how many stairs Lily did all by herself!  Up and back totaling 448!  I needed more breaks than she did!

 Look at her go!  This is after we made it up all the 224 stairs!  There were about 15 more steps that lead to a mile hike that we did as well!  I just have to add that she did not take a nap on the way home!  I was sure she would fall asleep immediately, but no! she talked all the way home and stayed awake until after our bbq!  If only I had half her energy!  She did fall asleep the minute her head hit the pillow!

 Lily LOVES to pick Dandelions!  She loves to share them with people she loves!  She always asks me if I will hold them at her wedding!  We will see if that lasts!  She always gives them with the biggest grin too!

 After the climb, we watched the Native American Dancing!  It was really cool to see!  All the dancer were amazing!  They told the stories about the Native Americans as they danced each different type of dance, making sure to include the special Solider dance to honor those who serve this great country!

 She also got to dance the friendship dance with the dancers and her dad!  She was so excited to be able to go and dance!

I feel so bad that Valeria got cut out of the picture especially because it is the only one with everyone in it.  I guess that is what you get for letting an Asian man who speaks no English take your picture! 

Growing Little Man!

Logan is just growing so fast!  It is hard to believe that he is already 3 months old!  He is so much fun these days!  He loves to sit up, either in the Bumbo or against the couch and talk and play with his toys!  He will sit and play with his toys on his car seat for quite a long time each day!  Most of all he LOVES to play with his sister!  Any time she comes around, he gives the biggest grins!  She eats it up too!  He is such a happy little guy!  The only time he cries is when he is hungry and you make him wait or he is over tired and wants to be put in his bed.He didn't even cry when he had a double ear infection at two months old!  Luckily I had his check up and found out!  I had no idea he was in any pain. No tugging at his ears or crying or fever!  I hope he learns to give some sign of distress to help out his mom!  We sure do love having this little man in our family!
