We LOVE Fall!

Yesterday we enjoyed some 70 degree weather and so Lily and I headed outside to rake the leaves. We have needed to rake for a while, but being new homeowners, we were without a rake until yesterday. I knew that we were going to get snow this week and so Lily and I headed out to buy a rake. Lily was so excited to get a rake and go home and play in the leaves! We raked and raked and raked! Lily would help me with her little shovel from her sand toys. As soon as I had a pile, she was in it playing! She was so happy to be able to play in her leaves. She is still talking about it this morning! We look forward to many more years of raking and playing in our leaves! Next time we will have to do it sooner so that Daddy can play with us!

Good bye Fall! We will see you again next year! Thanks for staying into November this year!

Halloween Fun!

Our Halloween fun started on Tuesday night as we carved our pumpkins! Last year Lily really didn't want to touch the guts, but this year she thought it was a lot of fun to get the seeds out! She really enjoyed eating the seeds too! We had a great time carving out our pumpkins!

Lily and Daddy decorated one with the fun Pumpkin Head pieces that Grandma Warner sent! They made a flying bat pig! Lily was sure proud of it!

Our finished products! Lily loved lighting the pumpkin up and turning out the lights! We sure did have fun as a family!

Our Halloween Saturday was great! It was in the 70s and just beautiful! We were busy all day long with Halloween activities! First we went to BOO AT THE ZOO! This has become a fun tradition for our family! After that we went to our Ward's Trunk or Treat followed by a friends party! We sure had a great time as a family! I think that Halloween is Lily's favorite Holiday - at least until another Holiday comes along! She would tell everyone trick or treat! Now she thinks that every time she says it, she should get more candy! Up first was our trip to the Zoo! We love to go and see everyone dressed up! It is always a mad house, but we love it! Everyone had comments about our costumes this year! TJ even had a few people take his picture! It was as if no one had seen someone dressed up as a Christmas tree! Lily also made the cutest witch and was a big hit with all the businesses! She is just too cute!
One of my great friends Aleida came with us and her little lady bug Valeria! Lily thought it was cool that they were both Witches!

Lily insisted on carrying her bag all by herself! She would comment on how heavy it was, but she didn't want help carrying it! Too independent!
Lily got a pair of binoculars and thought those were the best thing ever! She was looking at the camels in this picture, but she would use them wherever she walked! She requests them in the car and to look out our windows!

We don't have pictures of the Trunk or Treat, but it was sure a lot of fun! We combined with three wards and so there were a lot of cars to go around to! Lily was in pure Heaven as she collected her candy!

Then it was off to our friends for a party! This is our second year going and we sure have a great time! Lily loved all the friends and food!
As you can see by the end of the night she was exhausted! She made it out of the party with a cake ball bloody eyeball treat that she ended up all over when she fell asleep! We had a great night!

On the actual day of Halloween, Sunday, we had some friends over for Chili and cornbread! It was a great time! Lily loved opening the door for the Trick or Treaters and giving them candy! She would stand by the door and wait for more to come!

Pumpkin Patch!

We took our annual trip to Rock Creek Farms on Saturday! This is our favorite pumpkin patch - also the only one we have been too! We are big on going out into the fields and picking our pumpkins and not just buying them at a stand. This year we took some of our friends that had never been! They are from Mexico and so the Halloween celebrations are different. It was so much fun to take them to experience the pumpkin patch and their first Hay Ride! It was a perfect day to be out and enjoy fall! We had a great day picking our pumpkins, going on the hay ride, seeing the animals, and being with great friends!Lily was excited to find a pumpkin that wasn't too heavy to pick up! She sure liked being out in the field!

Lily and Valeria with the pumpkins! Two cuties!
Lily LOVED the horses! She enjoyed petting them before we took our ride! She has been talking about the hay ride ever since we went on it! I am glad we took her on the over priced hay ride! It was her favorite part!
On the hay ride!

Look Who Just Turned 2!

Lily had a GREAT Birthday this year! Last year I don't think she really got it. This year, she loved everything about it. She would tell people that it was her "happy birthday!" She loved the cake and the gifts. Her favorite had to be singing to her! She liked it so much that the next night when we had the Missionaries over and we were eating cake, she wanted us to sing to her again! She is so grown up! I can hardly believe that she is 2! She is so much fun to have around! She says the funniest thing and knows that she is being funny when she says them! This year for her Birthday we kept it very low key. When we had family in town a few weeks ago, we sang to her and let them celebrate with us. On her actual birthday we had a little party with just Dad, Mom and Lily. We had a special Spaghetti dinner, cake, and presents. The next day we took her mini golfing. She was a little unsure at first, but by the end she was having a great time. On the way home, she was already asking to go back! We sure do love our Little Lily, who is not so little anymore!

This is her favorite present! She LOVES music! She played Grandma's piano and ever since she has asked for her own piano. Her face beamed with joy when she saw what it was! We cannot wait to start lessons! Of course, when she is a little older!

Golf scholarship here we come!

Enjoying a little treat after the golfing was done!

House full of Family!!!

Back in September, we were SO LUCKY to convince some family to come and visit us! We used the BYU vs. Air Force game as a way to get them here! We had such a great weekend! We had my parents and sister and TJ's parents and siblings here. We filled our house and our friends house full of family! Lily was so happy to have cousins here to play with and aunts and uncles and grandparents to spoil her! We packed in lots of fun while everyone was here, in hopes that they will want to come back and visit! We went to the Zoo and celebrated Lily's birthday a little early so family could see. We went to our favorite restaurant, Budapest Bistro, for some yummy Hungarian food. We went to the Big Game and tail gated before! We played games and ate pizza too! We cannot wait for someone to visit us again! Right now at the Zoo they have lots of new babies on display. We saw four new tiger cubs. They were so fun to see!

Lily and Cody sure enjoyed watching the Tigers, or at least climbing on the rail!
Grandpa, Lily, Cody and Aunt Kimmy walking through the Zoo!
Lily with Grandma and Grandpa Warner.
The kids got to ride the carousel. Lily picked a Panda to ride with Aunt Alli
Feeding the birds with Daddy and Grandpa Gray
Giving Grandma Gray hugs
This was the cutest! The three kids loved riding in the wagon together! They did a great job playing the whole weekend!
This is one of the other new babies! The baby Orangutan! This was by far the cutest of the babies! This little girl is three months old! The first born in 26 years at the Denver Zoo!

Celebrating Lily's birthday! We had cupcakes and sang "Happy Birthday" and opened a few gifts. Aunt Kim, Uncle David, and Cody gave Lily a super cute book that she carries around when she wants a purse! It is a pink purse alphabet book.
Opening yet some more books! Lily LOVES her books!
Opening some more presents at home. She got some fun color wonder pages for Church and some fun doll stuff.

Saturday was the big day! We drove down to Colorado Springs to the Air Force Academy! We met up with some friends and had a great time tail gating before the game! It is too bad that BYU didn't show up to play that game! We still had a great time with family and friends!
Lily and Wyatt with Aunt Tiff before the game!
Grandpa Warner with Cody and Lily
Grandma Warner with Lily and Cody - they are both happy to have cupcakes!
Our cute little family dressed in "Blue Cougars" as Lily will tell you! Thanks Grandma Gray for binging us new Cougar gear!
Lily enjoying Grandpa time! She was very lucky to have both Grandpa's sitting right next to each other while she got to watch her Blue Cougars!

Aunt Cassie and Collin with Lily before the game! Lily was cheering on America with her flags! The game was September 11th and so they gave out flags to the fans. Lily collected as many as she could and would say, "GO America!" It was a great day to remember those who we lost on September 11, 2001. They had a lot of special guests at the game from NYC. Many had lost loved ones that were there. Very patriotic!

On Sunday Lily got to enjoy Grandma and Grandpa Warner for one more day. Everyone else left that morning. Lily was sure sad come Monday morning when no one was there to play! We sure had a great time and look forward to many more visits from family and friends! Thanks to all who came!
