Toyota Elephant Passage

The Denver Zoo just opened their new Toyota Elephant Passage!  We have been watching the construction for over a year.  So the weekend it opened, we headed to check it out.  It was a great day at the Zoo!  The kids had a great time petting the different animals they had out!  These two cuties are not afraid to pet the animals and actually really enjoy getting to experience the different animals!
Lily and Logan started the morning off petting the Bearded Dragon.

It was so much fun to watch Logan discover the animals this time.  He is at the perfect age to really start LOVING the Zoo.  He sees all the animals now and gets excited to point them out!  His smiles were incredible to watch!

This is just outside the new Toyota Elephant Passage.  They have brought in two new males so they can start the breading program.  They have a very unique exhibit that will allow them to bread because they can keep the males and females separate.  They also run all the animals through all the yards so that the animals get the sent of other animals.  The exhibit is HUGE!

They also brought in a new Black Rhino as part of the new exhibit.
After we did the Toyota Elephant Passage, we headed over to the Lorikeets to feed them.  Logan enjoyed climbing on the benches and finding birds down low to point and talk to!  Lily loved feeding them and was able to do it all by herself this time!

And then there was the Carousel! This time Lily picked to ride on the bench and kept her arms folded the entire ride!
Both of my kids did something that I would not, pet a snake!  I try not to pass on my fears to my children and clearly they alright to pet a snake!

At the end of the afternoon, both kids were pretty tired!  Logan fell asleep and Lily was not far behind him in the car!  We had such a great day as a family!
