Trip to Idaho

Back in July we made the trip up to Idaho.  My parents had invited us to come up while they had their house full so the kids could have fun with their kids.  My mom had fun activities she did with the kids.  Only my brother Brian and his family were unable to come.  Lily and Logan had a great time playing with cousins and grandparents.  My camera memory card had a problem and so I lost most of the first few days pictures.  I had a few on my phone at least.  Then I bought a new memory card for the last few days.
As soon as we got there, Grandma helped Lily and Logan make a bubble wand.  Logan still carries his around!  Then all the kids got in the pool and had a lot of fun.  The next day they played in the pool as well.  They also made stained glass out of beads.  We also went up to the park and had lunch and played until we were too hot!
Friday we went up to Shoshone Falls and Dierks Lake.  I am so sad I lost my pictures from the Falls, but such is life!  While we were at Dierks Lake is when my memory card had its problem.  I was able to take a few pictures on my phone.  The quality is a little poor because it is my phone, but at least we have some!  The kids had a great time playing in the water.  They would have stayed forever!  Especially once Uncle Stevie got there and started playing with them!  They had a blast getting him wet and getting wet from him!

Logan enjoyed putting Grandpa's shoes on more than his!

Saturday we went to Cafe Rio and then the Idaho Falls Zoo.  The kids had a great time!  That night we came home and did dutch oven for dinner!  So good!

Sunday we went to Church and hung out at Grandpa and Grandma's house!  We finally got to meet our newest niece, Lucy, on Sunday.  She is a sweet little girl!  The only hard part about living so far from family is not getting to meet the new additions right away!

Monday Grandpa, Grandma and our little family headed up to Sun Valley.  Along the way we stopped at the World's first nuclear power plant.  The kids had a great time exploring and pushing buttons!

After the power plant, we went to Craters of the Moon.  There was a volcano there that has created some pretty cool formations.  The kids had fun hiking around the trails and exploring!

After we left Craters of the Moon, we headed up to Ketchum, Idaho where our hotel was.  It was gorgeous!  We checked in and then headed into town to have some dinner.  After dinner it was time for bed.
The next morning we got up and went to ride the gondola and chair lift up the mountain.  The kids LOVED it!  It was so fun to watch the para-gliders while we rode up the mountain.  I love being in nature!  So beautiful and peaceful!

 Riding in the gondola
And riding up the chair lift.  Once you got off the gondola you could go up further on the chair lift. This was Lily's favorite part!

We had lunch on top of the mountain.  Once you got off the gondola there was a restaurant.  The service was amazing as well as the food!  We had a great time!

Logan had to switch hats with Dad and Grandpa multiple times!

After our ride, we went into town and had ice cream and shopped for our newest ornament to hang on our tree to show where we have traveled!  Then it was home to Grandma and Grandpa's house.  The following day it was time to head back to Colorado.  We had a great time!  Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for a great week!  We hope to see you again soon!
